I grew up around farming, but was always told it couldn’t pay enough to be worthwhile. After college, several years of working, and two children, My husband and I finally heard Joel Salatin talk about how a farm could be profitable, and suddenly we had a goal! We started with just raising our own food, but over time it has changed to building a family economy where all members of our family are meaningful participants in growing our food, and more recently, growing our business.
